The Story
It was spontaneous. I woke up with a rush of emotions and I just had to get up and write it all down.
Because of all my excitement and eagerness left in the void waiting for labor, I also gained interest in learning something new.
And voila! A new art was born in me - crochet. I created my first new born baby crochet shoes for my new born baby boy 👶
Balloon
As I wait for you to burst out into this world
one more month?
one more week?
Tomorrow? Later?
I get more anxious, but also excited
to hold you close
and finally see you
play with your tiny toes
the ones you so often strongly push
inside my belly in my womb
I get emotional just imagining you
against my chest
looking up at me
my eyes fill up now
Oh pardon me
I wonder the color of your eyes
the sound of your giggle
I can’t wait to make you smile
make you laugh when I tickle
make you roll around and discover
I hope I can provide everything you need
to get the best things in life
Not luxury from material things
but knowledge and experience
Experiences like this
feeling you
being a better person for you
for love.
And though I can’t tell you right now
in person
I want you to know
through my heartbeat
that I thank you for being here
and we’ll see you soon
